Boulder Roots Music Fest is deeply committed to serving the local community by providing a multi-faceted platform for performance, expression, and holistic wellness. We are dedicated to nurturing the next generation of artists, offering vital performance opportunities through extensive Youth Programming, including Tempo High School Showcases and dedicated College Band performances, giving emerging talent the visibility they deserve.

Our commitment to universal access is unwavering, reflected in our multiple free stages that remove financial barriers to culture. The iconic Courthouse Bricks Stage and the 16th Street Discovery Stage are completely free to the public, ensuring the entire community can experience world-class music, including special events like the Free Indigenous Peoples Celebration Performance, made possible by generous support from the City of Boulder.
Beyond the music itself, we cultivate wellness and inclusivity across the festival. We provide a safe, accessible environment with dedicated Sober Stages located at Artie Sandstone Studios, Courthouse Bricks Stage, Paradise Found Records, and Stone Cottage. Additionally, we integrate comprehensive Health and Wellness Sessions—such as Yoga Sessions, Sound Healing, and essential mental health discussion panels—to support the well-being of our attendees.

By creating these intentional spaces and actively partnering with a network of over a dozen local non-profit organizations, including Be Like Elle, Boulder Ballet, and The Colorado Sound 105.5, Boulder Roots Music Fest acts as a powerful catalyst. We enrich the lives of our attendees and successfully amplify the diverse voices and creative spirit within our vibrant city.
